Introducing Comments!

We’ve just launched a new feature on Roadzer.com that allows users to comment on notes left to vehicles.
We’ve done this to let you submit your thoughts on each post and to have a 'conversation' with that person who left the note.
To comment on a note you need to click on the Comment button under each note which will take you to the note page. There you can leave your comment, read other comments, and vote for them. Please note that comments are sorted by popularity based on your votes.
As always, please keep sending your feedback and suggestions of the site!

New Roadzer features: Filter notes and Vote!

Hello, Roadzer fans!

Just to give you a heads up on new Roadzer features:

Filters
Now notes can be filtered by state and by vehicle. To apply the filters, click on the note heading links. These will help you see all the notes from a particular state or vehicle selected.

Voting
One of your request was the ability to vote each note. Now you can do that. Under each note you will find  links to vote up or down. Now you have the power to separate the lame notes from the good ones. :)

Some under-the-hood changes
Other changes were done under the hood to improve the way Roadzer pages are shared across social networks. If you wish to share a filter view of your state, for example, now it will display nicely.

What is keeping me busy
I'm now focused on adding sharing capabilities so that you can post notes on many social networks. You will be able to share single notes, or share them by vehicle or state. Also, I'm working on adding additional filters to include the best and worst notes based on your votes. So hang in there.

I hope that you enjoy these new features. Thank you for your support. Feel free to reach me if you have any suggestion, comment or complain. :)

Adios,
Jorge

Find us on Facebook and Twitter

Hey friends,

Just to give you a heads up. You can find us on Facebook now at http://facebook.com/roadzer and on Twitter at http://twitter.com/roadzer. These sites will be another venue to get feedback, suggestions, (complains?) from you all.

Some new features on Roadzer include the ability to filter vehicles from the Traffic Jam. Also, I want to let you know what is keeping me busy at the time. I'm working on voting options to posts, filter best and worst posts (thanks Joe for that suggestion), commenting, and sharing posts on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Stay tuned!

Thank you all for your support.
Jorge

Welcome to Roadzer

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Roadzer.com Blog. Here I'd like to keep you up updated with news about Roadzer. I will also let you know of upcoming features, and most importantly I want this blog to be used by you to send me any suggestion to improve Roadzer. But let me tell you a little about myself.

My name is Jorge. I'm an IT Specialist from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico (PR). I am now living and working in the Washington, DC area. I'm in my early thirties. I've been working web development since high school.

Ever since I started driving and getting into traffic jams in PR, I wanted ability to send a message to other drivers. The messages I wished I could send ranged from "You @#$#! driver!" to "Hey, can I buy you a coffee?" (you get my point, right?) I thought that it would be great if we could use their vehicle license plate number since it is available to everyone who can read it and is a unique identifier. Now, many years later of having that idea, I decided to use the web for that. In order to use Roadzer across all US states, we also have to specify the vehicle state (since there could be plates with the same number in different states).

On June 25, Roadzer.com was born. A few days later a friend of mine let me know about this other website that also uses the license plate concept. Knowing that was a blow to me, to be honest. But after checking that site, I realized that their concept is a little different from what Roadzer is and will be.

I want to thank all my friends who have helped me promote the site and given me great suggestions. Please help me spread the word to your friends as well. You can find Roadzer on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter. And now, when you're on the road please keep in mind that there is Roadzer - if you need to send a message to anyone, write their state and license plate number. Smartphone users can access Roadzer through their devices.

Lastly, please drive safely and don't text while driving.

Sincerely,
Jorge
